It’s a jungle out there.
"I was impressed with the fact that he checked our needs very thoroughly, before he even presented the options."
"I'm convinced, that he could have made more money, by selling us a bigger and fancier machine. Instead he sold us something that fitted our needs, not our dreams."

The used CD equipment market contains many hidden gems for those who can find and take advantage of them. Unfortunately, it also is full of pitfalls for unwary buyers. It’s a lot easier to end up with dud than a diamond unless you have the necessary technical expertise, knowledge of the new and used CD equipment marketplaces and global access to many used equipment sources.
Vendors’ incomes depend on the amount and price of the equipment they sell, so it’s only reasonable for them to show you their most expensive products and avoid mentioning any unfavorable considerations. It’s even more rare to get complete, accurate information about used equipment, because very few people are genuinely knowledgeable about its performance and availability.
After you’ve talked with multiple vendors, you’re often deluged with information, much of it confusing or conflicting. It’s usually impossible to compare their claims on an “apples to apples” basis. For example, many suppliers don’t include the cost of a printer, packager, and other peripherals in their Total Cost of Ownership calculations.
How do you make sense of all this information? And how can you make sure no one takes advantage of you?
